Went for a recording session with my band yesterday...they had a rap bridge they wanted me to fill. Then it was on to another friend's 21st birthday...great food...though it got kinda dull when we had drinks at the bar...

Imagination

I close my eyes
and I'm thrust
into a sea of worlds
created from the neural stardust
spanning the cerebral cosmos

I close my eyes
and she is there
a siren of fleeting desires
tempting and taunting
my fainting heart and soul
as she walks on the threshold of insanity

I close my eyes
and I'm lying
on a bed of grass
with flowers in centripetal bloom
a million butterflies ascend
carrying a fragment of inspiration
into the world we know

Blood dream

The tower on the isle
rings its bell
at the beckoning of midnight
An omen of grim incantations
the birth of dark enternity
veiled in the scent of her lips

Yea, she drinks the wine
of many sorrows
fleeting emotions of an existence
drawn to the desire
for the veins of humanity

The bird makes it descent
upon the forsaken god
whispers words of scorn
she bore for him
beneath the chasms of her heart

A stillborn soul
lost in the frozen chains of time
obsession witout repose
crescent ivories piercing all membranes
to empty a man's soul in darkness

Eclipse

A restless heart
waits in silence
for light to dawn
upon darkness
a drop of hope
falling from the sky
no way to run
from the sin and lies
Take me away
into your arms
your providence
keeps me from harm

Welcome to the School of Naval gunners...in other words WSTC (Weapon systems Training center). The height requirement for gunners is actually 1.75m, so don't you ask me why I'm here. Basically we learn to get ourselves oiled and dirty. Guns...big guns installed onboard ships are hard to clean, so one cannon needs approximately 4-5 guys to maintain. Live-firing is rare but not obsolete...we carry such exercises during seafaring operations. One blast of an OTO melara 76mm...can cause vibrations all the way to the lowest deck..which is 5m below the water surface...Anyway, apart from that, we spend most of our time on ship eating, sleeping, carrying cargo like coolies, tying ropes for towing, navigation lookouts, and yeah operating anchor machines....
