The Upper Room

They were hidden together,
away from the prosecution,
reflecting upon his ascension.

His very last words,
" I will return to you"
of the Next Incarnation,
the Sprit will guide them.

Death upon the cross
the end was near,
fear had crippled them.
"Where do we go?"

But death He overcame,
they saw his hands,
pierced by the nails
of sin and shame

This day they prayed
in faith and hope
and He came again
with tongues of fire

Words of many races,
they uttered in joy
caught in the wind
of the Holy Ghost
in the Upper Room.

Evolution

My childhood muse will be visiting my ship soon. The idol of my youth, her posters and prints are no longer on my wall. I remember the day I climbed a tree just to see her perfom, to see catch a glimpse of the face that "launched a thousand ships. " She turned and smiled at me, and all things around and within me just faded away to that stroke of innocent beauty.

It is a different story now. She still looks as georgeous as the first time I saw her, but the child that fell in love with her is no more. I may have grown cynical to youthful idealism, where the fan yearns for the celebrity's autograph on the collectible. I'm even starting to be inimical when her name is mentioned, like an evil premonition of sleepless night and mindless work. All I want now, is to be left alone, away from the mundane monotomy of military slavery, to sleep like a child and play in my dreams. It has been so long, since I could fly in them.

Sunday 4th April
2 hours of the Passion. That was all that was needed to traumatize. The pain, agony, grief, courage and love. It was all written on his face. The one man who changed the destiny of the human race. Put aside the music, the cinematography, or even the adroit cast. I am utterly amazed at how real the vision for this motion picture was...how vivid everything became, long lost pages in memory given a new lease of life. For now, this is as close as it can get.
