nanny 911

Playing nanny to my girlfriends subtly brings out the feminine side in me, which isn't a feeling I accept with open arms. Pardon my chauvinism, but ultra-sensitivity stains my whole being with a wimpy vibe that would take weeks of masochistic brainwashing to neutralise. Thus, being arrowed to choose an appropriate gift for our dance queen did make things a little embarrassing for me this evening.

Fortunately, the style-maestro known as Brendon Goh was present to tweak my tastes. Gotta hand it to you bro, for training my eyes to imagine a 'best-fit', haha. Despite being briefly acquainted with the recipient, he was able to pick a good match of tops and colours. Now that's what I call a pro ;)

That aside, I'm relatively amazed at how the very idea of staging this surprise dawned upon me. Perhaps it was fen's concern, or the way events had almost brought her to a nervous breakdown. I guess if everyone just knew what she was going through, they would understand that it was NEVER an easy burden to bear.

So let's pray this will get her up again.

Reflection en noir...

Yes, to all those who are wondering, the kid is back.

An awesome trip, great companions and endless moments of trigger bliss. I did realise however, that the current camera I'm using is just no match for the vision I have with the frame. Pics and travel journal will be up in the weeks to come. We've kinda decided to give you only the 'greatest hits', so I'll continue to hold the suspense for a little while more.

Honestly, I almost didn't feel like coming back. It is a beautiful place, and it amazes me as to how a living paradise can be found in a world filled with stocks and skyscrapers. Artistic elegance, shy beauty, immaculate etiquette and quiet diligence. Even such superlatives do no justice to the land of the Rising Sun. From the elusive geisha to the grandeur of the Buddha, it is hard not to gain a little of the sublime enlightenment that entails every single gaze.

Perhaps one day, with cherry blossoms under a clear blue sky, I will return to that place again. For there is much to see...and so much more to learn.

To the one I love, I figured a kimono's not practical in Singapore's tropical weather. There are at least 3 layers in the costume and you can't wear it unaided. Worse still, you can't head to the loo at all, once it's fitted on you.

Still, I'm sure you will be absolutely stunning.

Sayonara,

J.

don't let me down

It's not easy finding a favourite, or some would call the quintessential song of a lifetime. For me, my taste in music is even more diverse than my taste in books, art, or even women haha. So yeah, I like almost anything...anytime.

Then again, if there was one song, that accurately described the sum of my affections, this would be it. It's a simple declaration of love and the ever so present fear of disappointment. Hey, it's definitely not a song of the heart, but it will definitely cut to the bone. Simple melodies, simple lyrics, not too difficult to move me right?

So here you go, my ultimate love song. Performed live during their rooftop concert. This unreleased version has a faster tempo than the original. Made it alot groovier.

For younger listeners, you might wanna check out the cover done by Matchbox Twenty. They're pretty phenomenal with ballads actually. Loads of angst, but it's obvious they're enjoying themselves.

and from the first time,
that she done me,
yeah she done me,
she done me good.

DIE HARD 82.

My deepest apologies for the shallow entries you read here. Been busying myself with long runs, dancing, writing scifi, sudoku, anime and waiting for the Transformers DVD to be released (Megan Fox Megan Fox!!) All these aside, things have been good, catching up with friends, flirting with XMMs and prepping to be nihon-ised on the 16th.

Yup, when I'm happy, I tend to be horny. Then again, abstinence is a virtue too hah.

You know something, a long time ago when I was a stupid soldier-boy, I used to be an avid fan of FHM. My friends and I always shared copies and cut pages of past issues, displaying the ample TNA and centrefolds on our cupboards, beds and even mirrors. It was a ritual that all men in the SAF, regardless of age, height or even marital status had to go through. It didn't matter if the babes were Jap, Taiwanese, Singaporean (fiona), American, Australian or even British. Our walls simply had to display the object of our wanking afffections.

If you ask me, men are BORN to objectify women for pleasure. Nothing wrong with lewd pics, as long as you keep the dirty parts to yourself and hurt no one else.

And so it was during one of those stormy nights onboard a ship on the high seas of the Indian Ocean, that I came to face to face with this woman (or rather a movie called Naked Weapon).

My buddy told me that Maggie Q melted his balls, even with clothes on.
When I saw her in the papers today, I found it very hard to disagree.

Yeah, talk about dying HARD. Kinda know what it means now.
